In recent years, many brands have chosen to embrace Instagram instead of Facebook for their online marketing. 1) Optimise Your Profile

Your profile is the first set of information your potential followers will see when they click into your account, so it’s necessary to make it as appealing as possible. Firstly, ensure that your profile picture is immediately identifiable; for example, a company logo or a tagline would be best. Don’t let the image get cut off at the corners though.

Secondly, use your bio link to connect to the landing page you want to bring visitors to. Whether that’s the home page or the latest promotion, new visitors mean potential new leads.

 2) Post Consistently

Post new photos regularly; use the data collected to find out the most popular times to post. People are more likely to unfollow if a brand doesn’t post frequently, so try to post at least once a day to increase brand retention.

In your posts, create a specific hashtag that represents your brand or your products. It’s a useful way for your consumers to know about your branding, and followers will also know how to tag your page in their posts, raising your brand engagement.

3) Make Your Photos Worth Sharing

Don’t underestimate reposting: If a customer reposts your photos, you get to reach a new base of potential customers, and their repost (with hashtag) will help to populate your hashtag page with more customer engagement. So make sure that your photos are beautiful, and have captions that aren’t too specific. Don’t post blurry photos, and use inspirational captions, like quotes, as they make the follower more likely to share the post.

4) Interact With Followers

Apart from posting new videos or photos on a regular basis to keep your followers engaged, it’s crucial to respond to your followers’ comments or direct messages, to let them know that your brand cares about their feedback. In the meantime, you can collect more data on potential customers’ interest. Furthermore, you can use that conversation to tailor your Instagram strategy to their liking.
